Hi Amit, Few months ago, I was facing the same problem of parameter sniffing. Later I was able to solve this issue by applying CU2 on SQL Server 2008 R2.
SQL Server 7.0's improved query optimizer generates statistics from index and column.
Question: Why is the Query Optimizer choosing a Clustered Index Scan? Answer: The Query Optimizer chooses a Clustered Index Scan for different reasons.
